Join the Union
Membership is open to all musicians and vocalists who work part-time or full-time in pop, rock, country, jazz, classical, folk or other areas of music making in the United States and Canada. There is NO audition necessary!
If you decide to join, we urge you to take advantage of our member service programs, communicate your ideas and help make the union a better organization for all musicians. Please keep in mind that the Musicians Union is not a booking agency and we cannot guarantee you work as a musician.
Jurisdiction
The jurisdiction of Local 77 is: In Pennsylvania, all of Philadelphia County, parts of Montgomery County and parts of Delaware County. In New Jersey, parts of Camden County and parts of Burlington County.
Dates & Costs to Join Local 77
Fees include $200 Annual Dues, $100.00 Local 77 Initiation Fee and a $65.00 AFM Initiation Fee
If you are currently a member of another AFM Local, the $65 AFM initiation fee is waived.
If you were once a member of Local 77 (or any other Local), and you were dropped from membership for non-payment of dues, the cost to reinstate depends on a variety of factors, including the amount owed at the time you were dropped and the length of time since you were dropped. Please call for the amount at (215) 985-4777.
How to Join
Just fill out the application and pay the fees. If you are not sure how much to send, call (215) 985-4777 for information. Please make checks payable to LOCAL 77, AFM. Please note that initiation fees and membership dues are non-refundable. You can either drop by our office with your completed application or mail it in.
